ABOUT

Hey, I'm zxro.

The founder of reppzy. My real name is Manu Maurya, I'm 22, and I used to be a full-stack developer. Now I build products I need myself, solo: five of them this year, and one turned a profit.

I have social anxiety, so the products do most of the talking. Next stop on the journey: building games.

THE APP

A break timer you can't wave away.

How a developer's chair habit turned into an app: what it is, why it exists, and how it works.

  1. WHAT IT ISA break timer that makes you move.NOT ANOTHER GENERIC BREAK TIMER APP.reppzy is a small Windows app (Mac coming soon) that sits in your tray and times your work sessions. It makes you earn your next session with an activity of your choice: pushups, squats, a walk, or one you make up yourself. Even touching grass counts.
  2. WHY IT EXISTSBuilt for my own long sessions. As a developer, I often work for two or three hours straight without leaving my chair. I built reppzy for myself, to make those sessions productive, effective and a bit healthier by making me take a break every 40 minutes. But a break does nothing if my hands just leave the keyboard and start doomscrolling. So I made it so the only way to unlock my next session is to get off the chair and do 40 pushups.
  3. HOW IT WORKS · 01The timer runs out.You set how long a session lasts and pick the activity that ends it. When time's up, reppzy steps in, and the next session stays locked until the reps are done.
  4. HOW IT WORKS · 02Clicking Done isn't enough. While you're on the break, it watches whether your mouse and keyboard go quiet for about as long as the reps should take. No camera needed. Fake it, or set a 15-minute interval, and you'll hear about it. Honest, and only a little mean.
  5. HOW IT WORKS · 03Every break adds up.Your sessions live on your machine and sync when they can. At the end of the week, reppzy shows you how long you worked and how much you actually moved.
